8 years, the hard way

It’s been 8 years since I made shiner. 8 years the hard way. shiner was an experiment for me in so many ways. It was an experiment in what I’d make as a newly professed ‘filmmaker’ & what others would think. I’d seen films like it on VHS, DVD, & at film festival but I knew both professionally & personally that MANY people didn’t like those films. What stuck with me was that few people REALLY loved them. I was among them. I wanted to make one of those films few people liked. I feel, now, 8 years later that I succeed. Now as the film nears 10 years of age, I find that I have much to say about it, the process, & what I think the film was ‘really’ about. Hindsight is 20/20. I hope you enjoy this blog as much as I am putting it together. Thank you for your support.
